March 18, 1805
Today expedition supplies were divided into eight similar groups - one for each of their boats. Why do you think this was done?



Think back to when we were Skyping from this room last week. What kinds of things would have been in each of these containers?

    They stored findings like bones,feathers,leaves, and any other thing they found to be ready to send back.

    They might hav put food,fursand things to trade in there.That was basically a storage room where they would put supplies.Hannah:)

    So it would stay organized. Because if there is a big group of fish you have to get the fishing stuff really fast.

      I agree. They have to be organized. You wouldn't want the things that you trade with mixed up with your fishing things, at least I wouldn't. Julia

    So it would stay organized and because everyone might need simalar things, depending on who was in the group.

    I think that they would have divided their stuff because if they had all of it on one boat, that boat might sink.

    Dry meat, candles, pots, pans, and maybe some blankets or something.

    They probably did this so that it would spread out the weight so it wouldn't sink the boat.

    I think that when they catch the fish it adds more weight to the boats so they one barrel on each boat.

    I think the barrells were full of gunpowder and in the boxes there were clothes.

    I balieve it could have many different things but things that resembled other objects would be put together. ( In other words, stay organized )
