Vacancy!
From the Lewis and Clark Fort Mandan Foundation:
March 14, 1805
Today in 1805, the Lewis & Clark Expedition almost lost Sacagawea. Her angry husband Toussaint Charbonneau had quit and moved out of their cabin at Fort Mandan.
they would have never known where they were going and since they would have no women or babies with them it would mean that they weren't peademakers lea
They probably would have suffered without her great skills as guide and interpreter. Julia
ReplyDeleteThey probably woudn't have made it all the way without Sacagawea and her skills.:)
ReplyDeleteRiya
they wouldn't be able to trade with the Indians because they wouldn't know their language
ReplyDeleteWhen the Expedition got to the Shoshone, it sure was easier to trade for those horses because Sacagawea was there to help translate!
DeleteI think that they would have to fight with the Native Americans.
ReplyDeleteMina
I think they would have been lost without her.
ReplyDeleteStella
They whouldn't have a translator or a guide. Abby
ReplyDeleteThey wuld not have a guide and they might get lost.
DeleteAbigail W.
Nothing good! She was a big help! They might not have been able to get those horses without her!
ReplyDeleteThey probably would have gotten lost and not known where too go-Emily
ReplyDeleteThey would miss her skills has guide and interpreter and Mrs.Roberts told us that it would be safer with a woman on the trip.
ReplyDeleteMaddie
The expedition probably would have gotten lost.-Kendall
ReplyDeleteThey wouldn't be able to talk to the Indians.
ReplyDeleteScout
Why would they do that?
ReplyDeleteClaire
They wouldn't have an interpreter or a guide. Short for they would get lost.
ReplyDeleteHanna
They would probably not make it all the way there because Sacagawea was the one who knew where to go.
ReplyDelete-Eleanor
Where did Charboneau go after his wife almost got lost? Did he move into a cabin only for him? Or did he share one cabin with Lewis and Clark? Julia
ReplyDeleteI think that they wouldn't have a translator or a guide. And they probably wouldn't have Little Pomp with them, either.
ReplyDeleteThey would have a hard time and probably get lost. VictoriaG.
ReplyDeleteI think that they would have got lost, and not be able to trade because they could not speak other languages.
ReplyDelete-Payton
They wouldn't be able to trade for horses and the Indians wouldn't trust them that much. Why did Charbonneau want to quit?
ReplyDelete-Ananya
Lewis and Clark would get lost without Sacagawea and Charbonneau guiding them but why would Charbonneau quit?
ReplyDelete-Campbell:)
I was wondering the same thing Campbell, why would Chardonneau quit????:(:(?????
DeleteLea:)
the people thought they would want to fight and they would start war.
ReplyDeleteMia
I think they would have gotten lost and not gotten to the pacific ocean.
ReplyDeleteWell if Sacagawea was gone then Lewis and Clark and everybody else would be very lost.
ReplyDeleteHayden.
they would have never known where they were going and since they would have no women or babies with them it would mean that they weren't peademakers
